With the exponential growth of information technology over the past decade, combined with the rapid expansion of artificial intelligence, it has become critical for the environment to reduce the production of new electronic materials. Reconditioning and reusing used IT equipment significantly lowers the environmental footprint associated with manufacturing new hardware. This mission represents both our core responsibility and our greatest challenge.

To achieve this, Computer Recycling Canada operates a warehouse, a service center, and both physical and online sales platforms dedicated to fully reconditioned computer equipment across all categories. All refurbished products are sourced from recovered and reused IT materials.

In addition to reuse and refurbishment, secure data destruction is a critical part of modern IT recycling. As digital data has replaced paper archives, our clients rightfully expect their information to be destroyed in a secure, confidential, and verifiable manner.

Computer Recycling Canada has therefore committed to protecting its clients against data theft by offering free data destruction certificates. Data can be securely erased using certified software through a 7-pass wiping process on Linux-based systems, allowing hard drives to be reused safely. When reuse is not possible, we perform physical destruction of hard drives, followed by environmentally responsible recycling of the recovered metals, primarily aluminum.

To encourage businesses of all sizes to reduce their environmental impact, Computer Recycling Canada offers completely free IT recycling services, including equipment collection, secure data destruction, and the issuance of ecological recycling certificates documenting the quantities recycled. When a pickup request is submitted, we strive to collect the equipment within five business days.

For electronic recycling operations, our certified partner in the Greater Montréal area is Suntech Recycle, a company holding the highest industry certifications, including R2v3, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.

This partnership allows Suntech Recycle to manage the recycling of electronic materials, while Computer Recycling Canada focuses on reuse, refurbishment, resale, marketing, and social impact initiatives.
